We take great pride in the quality of our dentistry and want to make your visits a pleasant experience. Our aim is good dental health for you and your family through preventive dentistry. This means giving you regular dental advice and helping you understand how to care for teeth, to reduce your need for dental treatment.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

A medical and dental history are taken and an extensive examination of teeth, gums and soft tissues are carried out. To aid diagnosis X-rays are taken where appropriate. Treatment required will be explained and a treatment plan agreed. A written estimate will be provided for the cost of the treatment.

MAINTENANCE

In order to maintain a high standard of oral health, monitoring and maintenance are required. We recommend regular reviews and examinations.

PRIVATE DENTISTRY

Private dentistry enables us to provide longer appointment times with less waiting time and the very best of materials and technicians. Your dentistry will last longer, look and feel better. Private fee guide is available on reception. St James’ Maintenance Plan offers a monthly payment plan to budget for private dentistry, monthly fees are £19.75/£33.75.

COST AND PAYMENT

After your examination you will be given an estimate for the cost of your treatment. Payment may be made in full in advance. Alternatively by instalments at each visit that the balance is due before, or at the latest, at your final appointment.

CANCELLATIONS

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel an appointment, a charge will be made if you fail to attend or give less than 48 hours notice.

EMERGENCIES

For our registered patients we set a period aside each day for emergency appointments. In order to run this service efficiently we would ask patients to telephone as early in the day as possible. We define emergencies as; Traumatic Damage, Dramatic Swelling, Haemorrhage and Intractable Toothache.
